Care Heart Love

We all want to be liked, loved or needed

We all want to be liked, loved or needed

Only if it’s done in the wrong way. Giving if it is unconditional is good. It’s when we hurt ourselves to fit in that it’s bad! ~ Li Hooper

Being selfish and only considering yourself is not God’s teaching. He does want you to first help yourself before he helps you, but that is when you are searching for his help. He is not saying forget about everyone else, then there’s the one about unconditional love and being there for all. That too is God’s teaching. Most importantly is the love for ones child and always taking care of them. Their needs and wants come first before anything else as they can’t fend for themselves. If you forget about yourself in an adult relationship and put that person above yourself, you will hurt yourself. Always remember that your needs and wants are on equal ground as the person you are with. And never let that person devalue your needs and wants because you feel they are the only person you can be with. There is the right person out there for you, without you having to compromise your self-worth. ~ Theresina Lloyd

Others should come first. As long as it is not at the expense of ourselves. Being unselfish and giving are wonderful traits. Compromising one’s integrity and self respect to get someone to “love” you is never the right path. ~ Tammie Elliott
